Climb the Stairs
If you live in a house and you have any stairs, go up and down, from the basement to the attic, without stopping until you are winded and your heart is racing. Or if you live in an apartment building, opt to take the stairs instead of the elevator whenever you can. Just making this one small change can make a big difference in how many calories you burn each day. In fact, climbing the stairs for only two minutes can torch about 21 calories for someone who weighs 175 pounds. If you climb the stairs several times during the day you can easily burn 100+ calories. And if we’re doing the math right, that’s about two cookies.
