Showing up is truly an art form. It’s not necessarily something that can be taught (but we’ll try), and it’s certainly not something you can master in a matter of minutes. But we all have to start somewhere. Here are some tips to help to start really living your life by showing up every day.

Recognize When you Aren’t Showing Up
You need to first recognize if and when you aren’t showing up, and let’s be honest, it happens to all of us. We all have days when we go to work, mindlessly check things off our to-do list and count down the minutes until we go home. We all have days when we pretend to listen to our partner, but in reality we’re just thinking about what we are going to make for dinner, all the things we need to do tomorrow and all the things that annoyed us today. It’s OK to have moments when you don’t show up, and the first step to eliminating those instances is to recognize when and why they happen.
