Indeed, Bobbi Brown’s new Blue Bell ($21), part of her spring Neons &Nudes collection, evokes a garden of perfectly periwinkle blossoms.

Blue Bell is a soft periwinkle with lavender undertones in a translucent, matte, buildable formula. Really fresh and beautiful. It looks like the month of May with each and every blink.

Guerlain’s Les Aqua palette ($59), a complementary quartet of sophisticated shadows, conjures Mustique at sunset. More green than blue, these silken washes of color are an iridescent gray-green, a velvety Tiffany blue turquoise, a matte teal, and a metallic white-silver. You can’t mess this up, that’s how good this is. Even the mirrored compact with the magnetic snap closure is magnifique. Joan Holloway Harris would definitely approve.

When wearing a bright eye, ground it with a classic jet black eyeliner. I love Bobbi’s new limited edition Ink Liner in Really Black ($24). This is like an ultra-fine Sharpie that lets you control the thickness of the line. It’s long-wearing, crisp, and a breeze to apply. Let’s hope Bobbi makes this a permanent fixture in her beauty firmament.
