8. Everyday Movements will Feel Better
Flexibility training isn’t just important during intense physical activity. Being able to touch your toes doesn’t just come in handy during a yoga class. In fact, being flexible is important for typical daily movements like grabbing a dish from the cabinet, standing up in a meeting, moving a chair, bending down to pick up a toy or slaving away over the kitchen stove. Basically every move you make each day can be improved if you are more flexible. In addition, you will be less likely to get injured in everyday situations, like if you trip or stumble, because your body will be better equipped to cope with the misstep and will be better able to heal.
