Think whole grain cereal with a tall glass of water or other fluids. The H2O helps move fiber (which is needed for digestion) through your system more easily by keeping it fluid and prevents gastrointestinal discomfort.
3. Spicy Food with Protein
Get out of your salt and pepper routine and think hot peppers (or hot sauce) on lean protein. Fresh peppers or curry add spice and enliven the flavor of foods. Spicy foods increase metabolism, but don’t have staying power, which is where the protein comes in. Protein helps keep the compounds in your system longer.
