Do Not Interrupt
In a fair argument everyone gets a turn to speak, and when that person has the floor, the other party keeps their mouth shut. If you want a chance to speak and be heard, and if you expect to get your turn to voice your thoughts, then you need to reciprocate and give your partner a chance to speak as well. Do not interrupt, because it implies that you don’t care what they have to say and you don’t respect how they feel. Instead, bite your tongue and listen while they talk—you’ll get your turn, and hopefully you’ll get the same attention and time.
