Accept Your Mistakes and Shortcomings
If and when you argue, expect to hear things about yourself that you might not like. Ideally you won’t be attacked or hear anything terribly cruel (more on that below), but you will hear that your partner has some grievances to share and possibly some very different opinions to discuss. Part of the deal is you will have to accept these complaints and statements, and own up to your mistakes. Having integrity is all about being honest, being trustworthy and acting with good moral character. In an argument, that means you need to accept your shortcomings and use the recognition of what you did wrong as a chance to get better and be more kind and virtuous in the future.
