The first step for successful goal-setting is coming up with the right ones. Really take some time to think about what you want your future to look like and then come up with a timeframe for arriving at that future. Don’t make your goals too general — a fulfilling career or losing weight — instead figure out specifically what fulfills you and what career you’re aiming for. Set a target for exactly how much weight you want to lose. You can always tweak these goals as you work towards them but it’s important to set a specific target so you can map out a plan for getting there.
