There are a million ways to be a great dad and just as many reasons why we love the men in our children’s lives. That said, it can be challenging to find celebrity role models when it comes to fatherhood. Not every male celeb with spawn is present, accountable and as loving as we would hope, at least not in the public eye. Studies continue to emphasize the importance of a stable, loving father figure so we’re celebrating fathers with a list of 20 celeb dads we heart every day, but especially around Father’s Day.
20. Johnny Depp
Okay, so we confess that we love Johnny Depp for way more reasons than just his skills as a father (and we’ve loved him for decades so that’s pre-kid time anyway). But seeing him as a dad makes us love him in a whole new way. He’s a doting father to his two children and demands that the media respect their privacy as much as possible.
19. Mario Lopez
This Latino heartthrob loved fatherhood so much, he wrote a book inspired by his daughter! We haven’t read Mario and Baby Gia yet but it’s on our list, for sure!
