5. Summer Rolls with Sweet and Savory Dipping Sauce
These party appetizers are called “summer rolls” for a reason: we’re guessing it’s because they are light, refreshing, not-too-filling and really easy to eat. Yes, you can use almost anything for a summer roll, but this recipe calls for shredded veggies, shrimp and rice noodles. Wrap them all up in rice paper and douse the roll in a vinegar dipping sauce that is equal parts sweet and salty and we are in love. Plus, the flavors are different enough from most typical BBQ dishes so you won’t be competing with the main course.
