I have a confession: I have not yet unpacked my bags after the Blogalicious 2012 social media conference in Vegas last week! And I have to find time to do it, because I need to repack them for my presentation at Latism 2012 in Houston, October 24-28! I wrote a recap of my experience at Blogalicious, where I enlisted new contributors to Mamiverse, based on their inspirational stories or actions. As usual, it is uplifting to meet and renew our relationship with so many powerful women.
Other highlights of the week:
- Monday, October 1 we launched our brand new Mamiverse Books, an initiative spearheaded by seasoned book editor Adriana Dominguez, whose knowledge and passion is sure to make the section a success. It is a pleasure to have her on board and a part of our enthusiastic and self-driven team! Please follow on Twitter for updates.
- We appreciate the ink we got from Publisher’s Weekly, Fox News Latino, Portada Online, and GalleyCat, to name a few. This is all in relation to our new children’s books review section.
- Please accept our invitation to take the Mamiverse Reads Pledge to ensure your kids are off to a good start academically, by reading to them at least 15 minutes every day.
- Mamiverse contributor Naibe Reynoso is a host of a new Talk Show based in LA with a Latina Twist. The show is airing on Channel 9 KCAL. Congratulations!
- We are two weeks into our new partnership with Fox News Latino where we showcase each other’s relevant posts every week. We are excited about the exposure our writers are getting thanks to this collaboration. It also enhances our political and entertainment content.
- If you have not yet registered to vote, please do so with Voto Latino, as voter registration deadlines are already upon us in several states.
