7. Ello promises to remain free to users.
But at the end of the day, it is still a company that needs to bring in some money to keep running. And since it will never run advertisements (and therefore will not collect ad revenue) Ello’s plan is to charge a small fee to add certain special features to your account. It will always be free to use Ello, but if you want the newest, coolest, yet-to-be-named features, you’ll have to pony up.
