Though Selena Gomez is currently on tour for her new album Stars Dance, she plans to take a big break from music after and focus on her acting career (so yes, those rumors are unfortunately true). In her latest movie, Getaway, in theaters Aug. 30th, she plays an anonymous tech savvy girl who helps reformed slacker Ethan Hawke save his kidnapped wife. Selena told us what she learned from dropping her glam image to play a young tomboy in this new action film.

Selena is done with la musica for a while
“I’m actually on tour so I’m in the middle of music at the moment. I’m a woman so I change my mind all the time. So one day I just want to do acting and one day I just want to do music. But this is my last record for a while and then I’m going to focus on acting for a really long period of time.”
Even though she plays a bad kid twice (in her last movie Spring Breakers too), she never had a rebellious phase
“Um, I don’t know. I stole like a Chapstick when I was seven.”
