13. Helen Keller
Many of us learned about Helen Keller growing up, and for good reason. Keller was an educator who was deaf, blind and mute, but persevered to graduate from college despite her many obstacles. She went on to help found the ACLU as a part of her overarching goal of helping improve the lives of others.
