Lomo Saltado is a fairly basic (but delicious) beef stir-fry. It clearly reflects the Asian influence in Peruvian cuisine, complete with soy sauce and fresh onions.
5. Causa
Causa, a quintessential traditional Peruvian food, is a fancy-looking but actually simple to prepare layered potato dish that is a specialty in Lima. Peru happens to be the homeland of the potato, with as many as 4,000 varieties, so the country is particularly potato proud.
