10. Microwave Oven
Percy Spencer became the first person to enjoy microwave popcorn. In 1941, while standing next to a magnetron he was working on for WWII radar equipment, he noticed that a candy bar had melted in his pocket and the first microwave oven was born. Fortunately, we’ve condensed the original 750 pound model to a kitchen-friendly size.
