4. Be Berry Delicate
Berries are among the most fragile of summer’s bounty. When storing, be careful not to stack too many high, keeping a single layer if possible. A paper bag works well, but only if you wash them right before you plan on eating them. Berries only keep for a couple of days and are subject to mold. Strawberries, in particular, don’t like to be wet. They will do best in a paper bag in the fridge for up to a week. Check the bag for moisture every other day.
