3. Nice Melons
Summer usually means lots of melons. Watermelon, honeydews and cantaloupes can be stored uncut in a cool dry place, out of the sun for up to a couple of weeks. Allow cantaloupes—and most melons—to ripen on your counter at room temperature for two to four days.Melons that are already cut or sliced should be placed in the fridge. An open container is fine.
