18. Keep Her in the Loop
Keep her up to speed on all the gossip and drama at work or in your group of friends. She will feel like she’s still a part of things and might even be relieved to be spared some of the drama.

19. Give Her Space
If you’re the type of person who wants to roll their sleeves up to jump in and take the lead, then you may have to step back for a moment. While company and effusive support is sometimes desirable and appropriate, there is an awful lot of personal processing that comes with a breast cancer diagnosis, so give her space to think and to be.

20. Let Her Lead
The last thing you want to do is overdo it. Make sure you help her and get involved to the level she wants and needs at that moment. This level may very well shift and change as time goes one. Your job is to be there when she needs you, on her terms.
