WHY KIDS LOVE THEM
Speaking from my personal experience, I adored them because they brought me simple joy from the moment my mom gave them to me, and they kept me company during my long hours of homework—watching them helped me relax and focus.

Apparently astronaut John Glenn took them with him on October 29, 1998 aboard Space Shuttle Discovery. After nine days in space, they were returned to Earth, and hatched successfully.
