I may have been 10 or 11 years old when I got those Sea Monkeys, but I still remember the smell of shrimp vividly, the inevitable excitement when they hatched, watching them mate, when the females got pregnant, and voilá!, when my tank was finally full of newborn Sea Monkeys! I could watch them all day swimming wondering how did that happen that life was created out of pouring a bag of what seemed like smelly crumbs into a fishbowl? I was fascinated. Even more so when after a week people were surprised that my monos marinos were still alive and procreating with vivid enthusiasm.
