My kids don’t need to attend an expensive private school as I did to reap the benefits of a multi-cultural environment. Their public school offers the same advantages because fortunately, diversity has become the norm in today’s society. It’s just that some people have learned to embrace it more than others. Of course that doesn’t make things perfect either. There is still racism, bullying, fear of those who are different…but hopefully less and less of it every day.
