As Black History Month Comes to a Close Mamiverse Continues to Celebrate Diversity-MainPhoto


At a time when Spain was not accustomed to seeing very many black people in the community (that has since changed, with strong immigration currents from Africa), I shared a classroom with students of different skin colors. Most of them were from African nations, and they told tales of repression in their countries and of how their families had been killed by dictators. These were usually the sons and daughters of diplomats and politicians, away at boarding school where they were safe.
