9. She Supports LGBT Equality
Her campaign video features two same-sex couples (one about to be married) and she’s made it clear that she hopes the Supreme Court will legalize gay marriage nationwide. She hasn’t always been quite so pro-gay marriage but she has long been popular with the LGBT community for supporting equal rights. In a 2011 speech to the UN she said, “Being LGBT does not make you less human. And that is why gay rights are human rights, and human rights are gay rights.”
