9. Role reversal isn’t uncommon.
Studies show that the number of stay-at-home dads has doubled in the past 25 years and the number who say they’re staying home primarily to care for their children (rather than job loss or disability) has quadrupled. Once upon a time a father might have felt out of place focusing on his family and his home life, but not any more. Today, stay-at-home dads are not only acceptable—they’re downright sexy.
10. It’s time for our society to evolve.
We have to start somewhere, so why not with your family? By experiencing and demonstrating a shift in gender roles within your family, and furthermore an acceptance of those newly assumed responsibilities, you will be contributing to a new norm where women breadwinners, not only receive the same pay as men but are just as socially acceptable.
