8. Americans still support Affirmative Action.
According to a recent USA Today poll, “…after the Supreme Court’s ruling on the use of racial preferences at the University of Texas, found that 53% of Americans support the affirmative-action programs that grew out of the civil rights movement.”
9. More education meant more career opportunities.
Doors that were literally closed, became open and allowed everyone to apply for jobs that fit their strengths, skills and talents. Black citizens were no longer judged on the color of their skin when applying for jobs.
