8. Comfortable Delivery Room
We use the term “comfortable” loosely, because realistically, comfortable to us means sitting on the couch with a glass of wine and a bucket of popcorn watching Scandal. But all things considered, a doula can help you feel relatively comfortable during labor as you gear up for delivery. And the best part—keeping you happy is really her only job. While doctors are checking to see how dilated you are and nurses are running between patients, your doula’s main focus is on you.
