Himalayan salt is thought to be completely pure, because these crystallized sea salt beds, buried deep within the Himalayans, have been protected from pollution and modern interferences of man. They are harvested and brought to the culinary world without processing or chemicals, so they remain pure and with their entire natural mineral content in tact. (More on that to come.)
