14. Night Watch
Make sure that you keep a glass of water on your child’s bedside table. Drinking anything else overnight—including juice, milk or “sugar-free” beverages, which contain sugar, natural or artificial—promotes tooth decay and raises the acidity level of the mouth for a whole night’s worth of damage.

15. Sugary Medication Syrups
Be wary of over the counter syrups, fever reducers and the like, which can contain high quantities of sugar to mask the medicine-y taste. We tend to administer these medications at bedtime, so make sure you do before those teeth get brushed.
