DON’T BE JEALOUS
If you’re a woman without children and you start dating a single dad, be sure you know what you’re in for. When he has custody of his children, he can’t devote himself to you. He may not want even want you to meet his kids until you’ve been dating for a while, and you can’t take that personally. He’s just trying to protect them from getting attached to someone who may or may not play a long-term role in their lives. And if things do get serious, are you ready to be a stepmom to his kids? Keep in mind that no matter how much he loves you, his kids are always going to come first—as they should. If you can’t handle sharing his affection, then this isn’t the guy for you.
