11. Counting
Especially for younger kids this is a great mini math lesson—collect and count as many apples as you can. You can even have a contest and whoever has the most apples wins a prize.
12. Cooking
Once you’re home with the fruits of your labor, head to the kitchen. Teach your children how to take their raw apples and make some of their favorite treats from applesauce to apple crisps, even apple chips!
13. Arts & Crafts
Even after you’ve made every apple-baked good you can think of, you’ll probably have some leftover. What to do with them? Get creative with apple crafts! Break out the paint and turn the slices into stamps or make apple people with pretzel sticks, raisins and maybe a chocolate chip or two.
