Unless your cell is on silent and you need a vibrate alert, always turn vibrate off. While you’re at it, turn down the volume on your ring tone too. Both are major cell phone battery drains. All of the visuals on your screen eat up tons of power. Black wallpaper uses the least energy but if that’s too depressing for you just avoid dynamic backgrounds and adjust your settings so that the phone goes into idle mode in the shortest amount of time and turn down the screen brightness.
