9. They’re a great community of friends and mentors. It’s more than a place to get help with homework or play video games. The Clubs are staffed by caring adults who mentor young minds and create a place to meet like minded friends who become friends for life.
10. They have Family Nights to get the whole family involved. It takes more than the Club to raise children, it takes involvement of their families. Working with the family and community is how the Club develops tomorrow’s leaders, parents and workers.
11. The Men of Strength Club teaches boys about preventing violence against women. Curbing the epidemic of domestic violence through seminars and training, is one of the primary goals of the Clubs. Working through the Men of Strength Club, BGCA are key to stopping violence against women.
