MY STORY
As a child, I was diagnosed with rickets. I was painfully thin. My head appeared oversized, and to add insult to injury I had to wear thick glasses from the time I was a toddler. At seven years old, weight gain turned me into a chubby girl. I was left-handed, which made me feel awkward and different from my peers. Because of my poor vision and overall awkwardness, I was clumsy. Gym class was torture and as a teenager, I was too shy to dance in public.
