Sure, you visit your doctor regularly for medical support and information leading up to your baby’s birth but a doula provides consistent emotional support. She will be there to help you handle the challenges and joys of pregnancy, she is there as you deliver and she is there afterwards to help you recover and settle into your new role as a parent.
