Behind every great kid is a mom who’s pretty sure she’s screwing it up.- Anonymous
We’re all going to have a bad parenting day every now and then. And I don’t mean just any old bad day, like when you let the kids get away with not making their beds. I’m talking about the day we don’t talk about, the day we silently say to ourselves, “I can’t do this anymore. I’m not good enough.”
I hate it when I feel mad at my girls. I know I’m not the only mom who’s ever gotten angry at her kids—I know that intellectually—but it can still feel pretty lonely. Especially after reading status update after status update from other moms on Facebook: Little Nicky ate all his beans today and pooped rainbows! He really is the best and I’m such a lucky mommy!
