9. North Carolina Aquariums
If you do happen to head to North Carolina to hang out with the wild horses (and why wouldn’t you?), stay a while and check out one of the North Carolina Aquariums. With petting areas where kids can get close to hermit and horseshoe crabs and manta rays as well as scuba divers who swim with the sharks, there’s something for everyone.
