Vera Brittain wrote Testament of Youth, still one of the most famous war memoirs and a movie due in U.S. theaters in 2015, after the loss of her fiancé, her brother and two close male friends during World War I. The book shared her traumatic experiences during the war and communicated her outrage at the war and to immortalize her lost loved ones.
