1. Rosa Clemente
In 2008, journalist and activist Rosa Clemente became the first Afro-Latina U.S. Vice Presidential Candidate. She was on the Green Party ticket with Cynthia McKinney. Though they didn’t win, they did get .12% of the popular vote.
