4. Confidence
If you can tackle New York’s bus system or Mexico City’s STC, you can get around anywhere. Granted, not all systems are created equal and it helps if you speak the language. Plus, if you can navigate a city’s metro system, you’ll save tons of money in taxis or rentals.
5. Humility
You may trip or fall or crash into someone due to the movement of the train/subway/bus. Say you’re sorry and move on. Basic courtesy goes a long way.
