The music, the festivals, the parades…Colombia is known for hosting likely and fun cultural gatherings and celebrations. While every day you can experience salsa performances and music festivals, it is Carnaval that really makes Colombia special. This massive celebration in Colombia is “the second-largest Carnaval in the world, celebrated since the 19th century, is in Barranquilla, on Colombia’s northern Caribbean coast. It received a UNESCO Heritage Award as a “magnificent” example of folkloric expression, but it isn’t much mentioned outside of South America.”
