4. A Land of Extremes
Colombia has all the world’s climates in one place. Not only can you explore the dense forest of Amazon Rainforest, but you can climb the Andes, the Sierra Nevada mountains (including the country’s highest and snowiest peak and the world´s tallest seaside mountain, Pico Cristóbal Colón), journey through Los Llanos’ grasslands or through the Tatacoa Desert.
5. Women Drive Motorcycles
Sure, you’ll see plenty of women gripping on to their guys like barnacles on the backs of motorcycles. But most of these sassy ladies prefer to drive their own motos. According to a Colombian survey in 2013, 25% of motorcycle owners were women.
