Twinkies hit the market on April 6, 1930. On November 16, 2012, Hostess filed for bankruptcy and Twinkies were slated to cease production. They made their triumphant return on July 15, 2013 and we are incredibly grateful. In general, we tend to support healthy eating and an active lifestyle but we also know that indulging occasionally (in a Twinkie, or otherwise) is part of living a balanced life with plenty of joy, and ladies, Twinkies definitely bring joy.
