3. Secure trash bags to the can with the cut-off waist band.
Ever had the trash bag slip down from the top, leaving a gap where trash can spill into the container and not in the bag? Cut off the waistband of your hose and slip it over the top of the trash bag to hold the bag in place. When the elastic starts to stretch out, wash and dry it so the elastic bounces back.
