2. Put a piece of stocking in the bottom of a pot before putting in the plant, in order to prevent soil erosion.
Don’t flush away soil as you water house plants. Put a piece of stocking across the bottom of the pot. Excess water will drain away and the soil will stay put. Do it every time you transfer plants to a larger pot.
