Jennifer Lawrence has played some pretty kick-a$$ characters, namely starring as Katniss Everdeen in the Hunger Games films. Her roles have encouraged girls to be strong and brave, and as a person, she has demonstrated grace, humor and humility. When accepting her Oscar for Best Actress in The Silver Linings Playbook, she tripped when walking up to the stage. Talk about embarrassing. She handled it like a pro with confidence and humor, and then kept going. Most recently Lawrence has tackled the pay gap in Hollywood, speaking out against women being paid less than men for comparable work in the same film.
