18. Celebrate Milestones in Latino Culture
Similar to holidays, don’t forget to celebrate the milestones that are commemorated in your home country. You can throw your daughter a birthday party and still celebrate her Quinceañera. When it comes to major life events and accomplishments, it’s important (for you, your ancestors and your children) to make sure the traditions of your family are also observed.
19. Represent Your Culture with Pride
Wear your Latina love on your sleeve. Literally. Don’t be embarrassed to adorn yourself with as much cultural pride as you can. Jewelry, t-shirts, flags…there are tons of ways to represent your home country even if you can’t be there.
