5. Road Kill Cook Off • Marlinton, WV
This annual West Virginia cook-off uses meat that theoretically could be found on the road, but is actually a variety of wild game meats that are inspected before being allowed into the competition. If you’ve ever longed to try squirrel gravy over biscuits or teriyaki-marinated bear sausage, this would be the place for you. There are also plenty of crafts and other festival fun.
