11. Listen & Engage
Friends listen and friends include one another. Seems like such a no-brainer, and yet kids fail to realize how hurtful it can be to ignore or exclude someone. Remind your kids that little gestures make a big difference and that they should always listen to others. And when in doubt, be overly open-minded and include other kids around them.
