4. It’s Okay to Fail
To succeed at anything you must learn to fail. Which means that on the road to making new friends your child WILL get hurt. They might be rejected, they might be made fun of, they may not get invited to parties and they will get upset. Repeat after us: they will be okay. It’s heartbreaking to see your child fail, but your job is to provide sympathy, support, love and to give them a boost when they need it so they can get back on their feet and try again.
